... is homogeneous data processing that converges in the central FIBU, regardless of the source system from which the data originates.
Here, the sermocore platform takes the place of the central data hub and handles global data collection, processing and distribution. It is embedded in ALPLA's own corporate infrastructure and therefore represents a key strategic step towards solving this challenge. The sermocore platform has been successfully in use there since 2011, currently with several separate instances, depending on the area of application.
The sermocore solution is used to collect, prepare, process and distribute data from the ERP systems of all plants worldwide. The various systems are connected via different interfaces and mechanisms such as SOAP web services, Http transfer protocols (both active and passive), FTP data services, time-controlled transfers and much more. At the same time, specific data preparation is carried out, e.g. the conversion of internal XML data to global standard formats such as X12 or Edifact. Comprehensive monitoring runs in parallel, both at software and process level, with various error detections and messages. In addition to many other features, the sermocore platform also offers extensive reports that provide an additional overview. The transfer of data from the source system to the target system is fully automated. However, sermocore has created additional mechanisms that enable the targeted manual transfer of data. This has the particular advantage that if master data is inconsistent, the incorrect data can be corrected in a targeted manner.
sermocore's many years of experience are a decisive factor in the design of the solution. The specific expertise is primarily utilised in the consulting, design and implementation of new processes. On the one hand, sermocore provides a modern technical software solution and, on the other hand, takes over the complete management of this software so that ALPLA employees can concentrate on the company's internal activities.
